Western Australia’s Police Commissioner has apologised to the family of a seven-year-old Aboriginal boy who was unlawfully served with a Violence Restraining Order.

Andrew Forrest’s Fortescue has scrapped plans for a 5.4 gigawatt Uaroo Energy Hub in the Pilbara but says it still plans to build something on the site.

Fortescue withdrew approval applications made to the Environmental Protection Authority last month.
