On August 24th between the times of 5.30 pm- 7.15 pm, Kristjan Jürimaa left his bike outside a friend’s house in Peterson court in Peg’s creek, Karratha.

When he left the house he saw the bike was missing.

Jürimaa black described the bike as a honda crf 450 with red and white stickers.

Jürimaa saw the bike near the Tav Sportsbar with two young children around ten-years-old driving the bike with no helmet or protective gear.

The incident was reported to the police straight away.

Jürimaa has asked residents with any information to go to the police.

He has also said the stickers may have been taken off the bike to change their appearance so may appear black.

THREATENED WITH A SLINGSHOT

Friday, 20th August, at the bridge near Hungry Jacks in Karratha yesterday afternoon.

The owner of a Black Honda 450 dirt bike was stopped by two young men yesterday and threatened with a ging to his face unless he gave them his motorcycle.

Sergeant Mark Barratt said the use of a ging (also known as a slingshot) was an offense and won’t be taken lightly and is very anti-social behavior.

“In the past, we have seen a lot of people targeting animals [with slingshots]”

Sergeant Barratt said the use of ging is an offense under the weapons act if used to threaten a person.

Mother of the boy whose bike was stolen Anikka Moore has expressed her son’s frustration about his bike.

Annika said people have spotted the kids riding around and feels the kids live in the Bayton area.

“What’s really disappointing is that they got to have some kind of adult at their residents allowing them to bring stolen property home”.

Karratha police Sergeant Dylan Daley has asked that anyone with information on the whereabouts of the police contact them directly so they are able to continue to track the bike.
