An Indigenous photographer was shocked after a viral image of her four children attracted racist comments online.

Ngiyampaa woman Milly Hooper from New South Wales uploaded a photograph of her four children to Facebook last week, where it has had over ten thousand reactions.

Ms Hooper said the comments on the photo were mostly positive, however some were racist and stereotyped Aboriginal people.

Facebook’s parent company Meta did not respond to Ngaarda Media’s request for comment.
