In collaboration with Deadly Denim owner Rebecca Rickard, the pair are planning to bring part of the Pilbara bush to the runway on September 30th with their retro 70’s bell-bottom play suits patterned with desert peas.

The collaboration in Aboriginal-woman led and run. The pair met online due to their shared interest in birthing on country.

Ms Lockyer said she was pinching herself.

“I created all the artwork that was printed on her denim outfits, and I also designed four of my outfits that I also had tailored and made”.

She said the wildflowers of the Pilbara were her main inspiration.

“My favourite piece from the collection is the desert pea design, which proudly represents the Pilbara and my culture and also sets the tone for my future fashion label I hope to launch in 2022”.

Her sister Skye Lockyer has created custom earing to match the outfits created.

The show will be held on September 30, 2021, at the Salons Marceau.
