EDUCATION MINISTER SAYS COMMITMENT REMAINS TO ROEBOURNE HIGH SCHOOL REDEVELOPMENT

Old Roebourne District High School buildings are no longer in use, and a planned redevelopment was announced in 2020.

Western Australia’s Education Minister has confirmed plans are still in place for a promised redevelopment of Roebourne District High School in the Pilbara.

In 2020, $42 million worth of funding was announced for new facilities and programs at the school.

Minister for Education Tony Buti said the state government remained committed to the project.

“That was a commitment that was made by the former Minister for Education, Sue Ellery,” he said.

“That commitment remains.

“We have a budget process. The budget will be brought down in May. I can still inform you that the state government is committed to it. I think one would need to wait until the budget’s handed down in May to find further details.”
