Yesterday, the State Government officially reopened the North Regional Minurmarghali Mia campus in Roebourne following upgrades.

The upgrades include the construction of four new classrooms which can be used as an I.T Laboratory, art facilities and a new industry workshop.

Minister for Training Simone McGurk spoke at the opening and said the opportunities the TAFE  can provide will empower the community.

“These facilities are an embodiment of what we want to do as a government, which is to give people skills, but also just be a part of their community,” she said.

“Some of the work that will be done at this TAFE is Cert I for people who never had an opportunity at school or for various reasons didn’t engage well at school.”
