Roebourne police have installed a large painting by a Wickham-based Aboriginal artist in their local station.

The dot painting by Kariyarra and Yindjibarndi artist Jenna Halden is now displayed behind the front counter.

Roebourne Senior Sergeant Dale Harmer said an accompanying plaque will be installed soon.

“She’s done up some information about what each part of that artwork means, and we sat and we spoke about it quite a bit,” he said.

“The artwork is unbelievable.”
