POLICE VAN HITS 88-YEAR-OLD

A police van hit an 88-year-old Aboriginal woman in Kalgoorlie.

Police confirmed the vehicle was reversing from the driveway of an apartment complex when it hit the woman earlier this month.

A police spokesperson said officers gave the driver an alcohol breath test which provided a negative result.

The woman is receiving medical treatment in Perth.

Police are continuing an internal investigation.
