PILBARA DRAG QUEEN IN RUNNING FOR NATIONAL COMPETITION
A Pilbara drag queen is in the running to be named Miss First Nation Supreme Queen in a national competition.
Ayleesha Tryed from Hedland said there was one spot open for a People’s Choice entrant to travel to Sydney to compete.
She said Ayleesha Tryed was well known to audiences across the Pilbara.
“Basically [Ayleesha Tryed] started off as a bit of a joke between myself, a good friend and my sister, and she’s basically evolved into this 6-foot, nearly 7-foot glamazon that travels throughout the Pilbara spreading her love and joy,” she said.
Ms Tryed is currently coming third in a field of eight in the Miss First Nation Supreme Queen People’s Choice award.
