The Jilga National Park established in the Mid-West Gascoyne

In this week’s Ngaara Wila Hour, Marion Cheedy with news of a new Yindjibarndi Arts Centre in Roebourne especially for the young children in the community, which was created from an old Government building.

Over 100,000 hectares of the Mid-West Gascoyne become the Jilgu National Park. We talked to the CEO of the Jidi Jidi Corporation who helped bring the park about and he shares his aspirations for the future.

And we hear from some of the traditional owners who will be looking after the park about what it means to them.

Also, the interview we missed last week with Hazel Walgar who believes Ningaloo is a place of healing and was thrilled to see the success of the recent Jamba Nyinayi Festival.
