MOBILE MEDIA VEHICLE HITS THE ROADS

In the East Kimberley, a Toyota Hilux has been fitted out with all sorts of audio-visual equipment and a satellite receiver so communities can use it for meetings, training and of course disco dances.
Wunan Foundation chairman Ian Trust said their new “Trail Blazer Media Vehicle” had already been used for a variety of purposes.
“You can actually beam something straight from the internet into and then show it on this wide-screen TV,” he said. “You can set up almost instant equipment for doing a conference or even for a dance or for young people to watch something on screen. It’s a great resource that we’ve been using, especially well-received.
Mr Trust said the stand alone vehicle could be set up anywhere with good access by road.
