A minor faced court in the Kimberley on Monday, charged with holding up a Roadhouse at knifepoint, the day before.

The 13-year-old threatened staff at the Ord River RoadHouse in Kununurra on Sunday and demanded cigarettes, before fleeing on foot.

The offender had been bailed about four hours earlier that same day for a previous incident in which he assaulted workers at a local Coles.

Kununurra Police Senior Sergeant Neil Van De Plank spoke to Conrad MacLean about the incident.
