HORSE TRAINER MICKEY BALL PREPARES FOR RACE SEASON

Local legend and thoroughbred trainer Michael Ball is preparing for Sunday’s Family Day at the Roebourne Race Course.

After winning the Roebourne Cup last year, Ngaara Media asked if he had high hopes for this year.

“Of my horses or someone else’s?” he asked.

“The ones out of my stable, I think the Maiden will go alright.”

This year he has a new horse that is named Whim Creek after a pub in the Pilbara.
