A generous donation has been made of over 10 500 dollars worth of school supplies to primary schoolchildren in Roebourne, Karratha and Wickham.

The Karratha Bikers Association raised the funds from a major KBA fundraiser, the Father's Day Car, Bike and Four Wheel Drive Show.

Member Damien Athorn said the annual KBA fundraiser puts money back into the community to help those who can’t afford it.

“We do it every year, lot of our proceeds from the car and bike show gets put back into the community,” he said.

“Every year we donate stationary to the schools because a lot of kids miss out and a lot of families cant afford it, so we donate it.”

As schoolchildren get ready to go back to school on Wednesday Feb 1, this supports children in regional areas have enough schools supplies to start the year.

“Hopefully everyone gets what they need for their school education,” Damien Athorn told Ngaarda Media.
