CRIME WAVE HITS TOM PRICE
On Sunday night and Monday morning, Tom Price Police received multiple reports of burglaries and theft.
Six burglaries and a stolen motor vehicle were reported.
Police say the burglaries appear to be connected and encourage anybody in Tom Price with information or relevant CCTV footage from the night of Sunday and Monday morning to come forward.
Tom Price Police Sergeant Chris Clelland encouraged citizens to secure their property.
‘‘(The) majority of the properties were entered through unlocked doors,’’ he said.
‘‘So we encourage the community, (not victim blaming) but we encourage the community to make sure that your premises your house is locked, your vehicles are locked, which makes it more difficult for people to take this opportunistic crime.’’
