HALLS CREEK BIKE PROGRAM KICKS INTO GEAR
The Halls Creek Police are teaming up with the wider community to start an after-school bike program for local kids.
Attendees will learn bike repair skills and take home the bikes they fix.
Halls Creek Police Sergeant Simon Wormsley is helping run the program and says it will offer many benefits to the wider community.
“Obviously, there’s the rapport that’s built between not only the police, the Shire, and the kids, but there’s also some investment from the kids,” he said.
“They get to have a say on what bike they want and how they want to fix it, look after it.
“Every kid wants a bike and to have fun.”
