GREENS ANTI-GREYHOUND RACING PETITION

The WA Greens are calling for an end to Greyhound racing.

Mulgana woman and Greens candidate for Durack Bianca McNeair said the industry did not look after its animals.

“We have between 1300 and 1700 healthy greyhounds die each year in Australia specifically because of this industry,” she said.

Ms McNeair said Greens MP Brad Pettitt was circulating a petition to be presented to the WA Parliament to ban the sport.
