FITZROY CROSSING STORE OWNER SAYS 'THE ARMY' COULD HELP TO CURB YOUTH CRIME
FITZROY CROSSING CRIME COULD GET WORSE
The State Opposition is warning changes to the Legislative Council could see fewer resources and understanding by politicians to address major problems in the Kimberley.
Member for South West, James Hayward says towns like Fitzroy Crossing are becoming too dangerous for people to stay and reducing regional representation would cause residents to lose their voice.
Meanwhile, police are investigating an incident at the Kimberley Country Department Store in Fitzroy Crossing after a junior staff member was threatened by several Indigenous youths with knives and scissors on Monday afternoon.
The store's owner, Sally Towne, told Ngaarda Media the incident was disturbing and the community needs to find solutions to tackle this issue.
