FIRST NATIONS CADET BROADCASTERS TO COVER FIFA WORLD CUP

Ngaarda First Nations media Broadcasters are traveling to Brisbane today to cover the FIFA World Cup. 

Cadet journalists, Nganikurrangi woman Cassandra Ariuu and Ngarluma woman Samantha Walker will commentate cover of the women’s soccer matches. 

Ms Ariuu said she looks forward to the chance to grow through the trip. 

“I’m very excited to go and try something new,” she said.

“It’s building my knowledge and experience. [It’s] another way to be a journalist.”
