A Ngarluma filmmaker from Broome is in the Pilbara hoping to speak with Ngaarda-Ngarli about Murujuga, the Burrup Peninsula.

Perun Bonser will be in Karratha and Roebourne until next Friday to film a documentary about the Murujuga rock art and the planned Perdaman urea plant to be built on the Burrup.

He said government approval of the Perdaman development was “unfair”.

“A lot of mob, we’re governed by laws that are unfair and that tell us how we can and can’t look after Country,” said Mr Bonser.

“I want to give people a platform to talk about what’s happening on the Burrup.”

Mr Bonser’s last documentary, ‘Our Law’, was also filmed in Ieramagadu/Roebourne.
