BREAKING: Roebourne break-Ins, multiple businesses effected

Several Roebourne businesses have been broken into in the early hours of Friday morning.

The General Manager of Garlbalgu, Mick Whittaker said that multiple break-in attempts have been made at the Ieramagadu Store and the Cafe.

The cultural center was also broken into last night. There are no valuable items held on the premises. Mick went on to say that they are a community organization that tries to support cheap and free groceries.

‘Nearly a ton of products have been distributed free of charge to the locals, so it’s certainly a solution to get good nutrition into the community ‘

He also said that the scooter the store uses to deliver food to the elderly, as a COVID protocol, within the community was stolen.

Forensic police had been called to the store to investigate and there was some blood where the break-in occurred.

Another incident at the store last week with regards to vaccine abuse means that employees have been through a lot in the previous two weeks.

‘If you’ve got businesses go and check your premises because there was a bit of action around last night.’
