BHP Newman COVID-19 exposure site
A worker tested positive to COVID-19 at a BHP site in Newman on Wednesday morning.
BHP Newman manager Sean O’Hanlon said the worker flew to site on Tuesday while feeling unwell and returned a negative PCR test.
He said the individual woke up on Wednesday morning feeling unwell, isolated and returned a positive test on Thursday morning.
The individual has not been to site and is reportedly isolating for seven days.
BHP is working with WA health to identify close contacts.
