Ida Ho Mow flies in to brighten up Kimberley Blak Pride
Some things are scary. Some people say you can do it, and I believe in you, while others are too shy to be who they really are.
But break out of your shell, and no one can hold you back. That’s certainly what happened to Trent Ozies.
Trent, who is from Broome, in the Kimberly, said “I got on stage, I had a microphone, in my hand and it started to flow”.
Ida Ho Mow plays a leading role in this year’s Kimberley Blak Pride Extravaganza, which was so good last year, it’s back with more glitz, glamour and Queer Blak joy! Ida Ho Mow is unapologetically honest and as Trent says she “doesn’t have any concerns or worries about what’s being said”.
Blak Pride this year has the best First Nations Drag Queens, Drag Kings, DJs, musos, performers in and the star of the show, the outrageous Ida Ho Mow.
Cassie Arriuu from Ngaarda Media, spoke to Trent, about how his alter-ego Ida Ho Mow was born and embraced.
