Aunty, Dr, Reverend Denise Champion was among the winners of this year's Scholar of the year.
Aunty Rev Denise Champion is an Adnyamathanha woman, theologian and Uniting Church minister who was ordained in 2015.
She was the first Aboriginal woman to be ordained in South Australia.
Adnyamathanha reporter Chez Coulthard caught up with Aunty Denise to have a yarn at the SA National NAIDOC awards ceremony in Adelaide here is their yarn.
