YINDJIBARNDI AND FMG IN TALKS
Yindjibarndi Ngurra Aboriginal Corporation CEO Michael Woodley met personally with Fortescue Metals Group executive chairman Andrew Forrest on Friday in what was described as positive talks.
Following the meeting, YNAC release a statement from Mr Woodley that said: “It was a positive meeting and we agreed to take these discussions forward.”
The meeting was held amid an ongoing compensation case before the Federal Court of Australia, which heard compelling evidence from two Yindjibarndi elders in early March. The hearings are due to continue in July and August.
