A young Aboriginal leader says conversations around the Voice to Parliament should be held in a way that doesn’t cause trauma and hurt for First Nations people.

Wirangu, Mirning and Kokatha person and Wirangu Aboriginal Corporation Chair Keenan Smith says the debate around the proposed Voice to Parliament should remain focussed.

They spoke to Ngaarda Media’s Gerry Mazza about the Voice, growing up as a nonbinary person, and the Wirangu people’s recent Native Title determination.
