WATERPARK AWAITS HEALTH DEPARTMENT GREEN LIGHT

In the Kimberley, Kununurra’s long awaited water park is almost ready to open.

Wyndham East Kimberley shire president David Menzel said they were just awaiting the results of water quality samples from the WA Health Department.

“It’s been designed with all-abilities access,” he sad. “It’s been designed to hopefully have enough activities there to engage with a slightly older age group of kids. We’re hoping that the teenagers will enjoy it as well as the young ones and it really becomes a focal point for families and peopel wanting to spend some time just enjoying eachother’s company in town.”

The waterpark is in central Kununurra beside the Leisure Centre.
