Marco Tutt and his wife, Wayan Sri, have always dreamed of opening a business that blends Balinese and Australian cultures, and that dream started in the Pilbara. The Tutts moved to Perth in mid-2022.

Mrs Wayan Sri Tutt and her husband have been a cornerstone of this journey.

“It’s been my dream for six years, she said. It’s a new venture, and I may look at doing something in Bali in the future.”

For Marcus Tutt, this dream was born when he first stepped into hospitality as a young man.

“ It’s been a dream of mine ever since I got into hospitality, he said. When I was younger, and the opportunities came up, and I had to grab it.”

Wayan Sri’s knowledge of Balinese cuisine, inherited from her family, will serve as the backdrop of their new Balinese-inspired lunch menu. Combined with the skills of their two talented chefs, it promises a culinary experience that will transport their customers straight to the beaches of Bali.

While the journey has not been easy, the team remains optimistic and excited about the future. The dream may have started with a desire to bring a piece of Bali to Australia, but it has evolved into much more. It’s about sharing a piece of their hearts, their passion for food, and their respect for the rich Balinese culture.

After leaving the Armed Forces, Marco found himself DJing in nightclubs in the Pilbara and Perth.

His passion for music and people led him to progress into management. Even while mining with Rio, Marco continued to work in hospitality during his free time.

Marco’s short-term and long-term goals for the business are clear. He wants to restore the company's glory, which was once voted the best small bar in Perth. He plans to regain the number one spot and make his establishment the go-to place for Tiny’s quality liquor.

“The biggest thing is to make sure that you're really looking into your own personal business plan and to make sure that the business that you're looking at buying or starting up fits the location area and look at the type of clientele that's available within the area that you wish to move into. “
