THE NINE YEAR OLD HERO WHO TOOK PART IN THE WORLD'S GREATEST SHAVE
Hayden Raddock is a 9 year old Indigenous boy who lives with his family in Perth, but he also has mob living in the Pilbara.
Often when family from up north need cancer treatment, they come and stay with his family.
Over the years, Hayden has seen numerous family members lose their hair while undergoing chemotherapy in Perth hospitals. This made him want to do his bit to help.
So, Hayden started to grow his hair and last March, took part in World’s Greatest Shave.
March is typically the ‘main shave month’ for World’s Greatest Shave, and many people have shaved, cut and coloured their hair throughout the state, in a bid to help the 140,000 Australians currently facing blood cancer.
But people can do the World’s Greatest Shave at any time of the year, and there is still plenty of time to sign up, or donate to people who have taken part – including Hayden.
He had one important piece of advice to share “make sure you go to the doctor to get your check ups, keep eating healthy and don’t smoke”.
