Keith Urban Inducted into Roll of Renown at 2025 Golden Guitar Awards

Keith Urban has been inducted into the Roll of Renown at the Golden Guitar Awards in Tamworth, celebrating his significant contribution to Australian country music.

  • Urban first attended the Tamworth Country Music Festival at age nine and later won the Star Maker title at 22.

  • In his acceptance speech, he thanked "early believers" and reflected on his busking days on Peel Street with Troy Cassar-Daley.

  • The Roll of Renown, established in 1976, honours artists with lasting impacts on the country music industry.

Kasey Chambers performed a heartfelt ballad during the ceremony, while young artist Denvah highlighted Urban’s influence on aspiring musicians.

Urban also won his 15th Golden Guitar, with his album High taking out Top Selling Album of the Year.

Troy Cassar-Daley Dominates 2025 Golden Guitar Awards

Troy Cassar-Daley won five awards, including:

  • Male Artist of the Year

  • Album of the Year (Between the Fires)

  • Alternative Country Album of the Year (Between the Fires)

  • Heritage Song of the Year (Windradyne)

  • Song of the Year (Some Days)

Cassar-Daley reflected on creating Between the Fires at his late mother’s home and thanked his family for their support during its production.

Other Major Wins

  • Ashleigh Dallas: Won Traditional Country Album of the Year for Setting Suns, produced by her father, Brett Dallas. Her mother, Lynette, was crowned Queen of Country the same year Urban won Star Maker.

  • Max Jackson: Named Female Artist of the Year and won Single of the Year for Little More Country.
