SYPHILIS OUTBREAK IN THE PILBARA RAISES CONCERNS
An outbreak of syphilis is causing concern among health practitioners in the Pilbara, with Indigenous Australians being particularly vulnerable.
Anna Bennett is a nurse with Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service in Newman.
Speaking to Ngaarda Media, Ms Bennett says syphilis is very easy to treat and getting tested isn’t something to be embarrassed about.
