On Thursday in the Pilbara, Roebourne locals took part in a barista training workshop at the local Ieramagadu Cafe.

Around 10 people of different generations attended the free training organised by the Ngarluma Yindjibarndi Foundation Limited.

Local 16-year-old Dakota said he enjoyed the training.

“It was fun,” he said. “It was a good experience.”

“[We need] more programs like this to help people get training, so you can get experience on the employment path.”

Ngaarda Media staff sampled the coffee and can confirm it was delicious.

Listen to training participants Dakota and Noah speak with Yindjibarndi Elder Ms Tootsie Daniel and Ngarluma broadcaster Camilia Samson.
