REGIONAL MUSIC SESSIONS HEADING TO KARRATHA
A series of regional sessions aimed at giving aspiring local musicians access to knowledge, training and networking opportunities are being held across regional Western Australia.
The Regional Sessions will hold a one-day event in Karratha on Thursday the 16th of March from 9AM to 5 PM at the Red Earth Arts Precinct.
Jacob Ridgeway is a Manager at the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music Office, an organisation helping to run the Regional Sessions.
He says the Region Sessions are a great learning opportunity for aspiring musicians.
‘‘What happens at the Regional Sessions, is we do a keynote address, panel discussions with songwriters, and we break off into small groups for attendees to get advice try out songs, share ideas and connect’’ he said.
‘‘Post that event, we have networking and live performances’’.
