RAM RAID IN CARNARVON
Carnarvon Police are pursuing suspects after a stolen vehicle was used to ram and gain access to local businesses on Sunday night.
Senior Sergeant Mark Ardley said the ram raids were used to rob a local IGA and an office supplies store.
‘‘A vehicle was stolen and used in a couple of ram raids around town somewhere around 1 and 2 AM, the first incidence was at an IGA, where the vehicle was driven through the side doors’’ he said.
‘‘They gained access into the IGA, stole a number of items still yet to be fully accounted for, and then they’ve continued on and they’ve gone to Gascoyn Office Equipment, stolen a number of items including mobile phones and iPads.’’
Sergeant Ardley said the stolen vehicle was later found unattended in Brockman, where it had been set on fire.
