RAM RAID HITS WYNDHAM

On Friday morning, a vehicle was stolen from Kununurra and used to ram raid a liquor store in Wyndham, according to local police.

After gaining access to the store, the vehicle’s occupants drove away with $800 worth of stolen alcohol.

The stolen vehicle was later intercepted over 200 kilometres away by Halls Creek Police, but the vehicle’s occupants fled before they could be arrested.

Wyndham Senior Sergeant Garry Thwaites said the investigation was ongoing.

“We’re still looking for the offenders,” he said.

Fortunately there was some CCTV footage which may be able to assist us, and we’ve got some suspects. We’ve just got to apprehend them.

“So if anyone does know anything, please contact Wyndham Police, or their local police station, or Crimestoppers.”

The stolen alcohol was not found in the intercepted vehicle.
