PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS HIRED IN WESLEY LOCKYER MISSING PERSON CASE

In the Pilbara, family members of Wesley Lockyer have hired two private investigators to assist in the search for the missing 29-year-old.

Mr. Lockyer was last seen leaving Jinparinya Aboriginal Community on October 24 last year, according to police.

On Facebook, Mr Lockyer’s family members encouraged anyone with information to contact the two investigators, Mick Buckley and John Hindriksen, who arrived in Port Hedland on Wednesday.

Mr Buckley, who has previously solved a number of high-profile missing person and murder cases, said police were not willing to work with him or share information.

“They’re not prepared to divulge anything they’re currently working on, which is disappointing, because the family should be aware of what they’re working on, but they’re not telling the family,” he said.

Mr Buckley said he and Mr Hindriksen, who are both formerly of WA Police, will be able to devote a good chunk of time to the investigation.

“The benefit of this investigation is that there’s two of us up here now with experience to do this sort of thing, and we’re dedicated for six whole days to see as many people as we possibly can to try and get a result for the family,” he said.
