PILBARA REACH US BLESSED WITH MONEY FROM KARRATHA CHARITY RUN

A Police road block delayed the Karratha Bikers Association’s annual Poker charity run over the weekend which donated two thousand dollars to Pilbara Reach Us.

Police media confirmed that Officers from the Gang Crime Squad, and Karratha Detectives conducted the operation in Karratha, to enforce the Unlawful Consorting and Prohibited Insignia Act 2021.

“Police attended a number of public events and conducted inquiries,” they said in a statement.

“As a result of inquiries three charges were preferred in relation to the Unlawful Consorting and Prohibited Insignia Act 2021.”

It was not clear whether or not the charges were laid as a result of the road block.

Pilbara Reach Us helps cancer patients with ancillary needs like cleaning and gardening at home.

Pilbara Reach Us representative Jasmine Ellison told Ngaarda Media that simple things like cleaning can become an extra burden when families are supporting cancer patients.

“Say we’ve got someone down in Perth receiving treatment but they’ve left their home and their family in Karratha or wherever it is in the Pilbara,” she said. “But that person is then holding down the household as well as still working full time or whatever the case may be. Things do get left behind.”

Karratha Bikers Association president Neil Tollison thanked all supporters including the riders who put up with the road block.
