Wrapped Creations has been chosen to produce the National NAIDOC Week Awards Ceremony that recognises the outstanding contributions of Indigenous Australians to improve communities and beyond.

Wrapped Creations CEO David Yakas said that it is the biggest event the company has received.

“This one I feel is going next level because it’s 1500 to 2000 people sit down gala but on top of that it’s being live broadcast on TV,” he said.

“We just feel so honoured to be trusted with something this important”

Mr Yakas said the company started in 2011 as a small business adventure and were ‘blown away’ when offered the opportunity.

“It’s really putting a little Pilbara business on a national scale in the spotlight, which is huge,” he said.

“To get to the end and awarded a contract we were just blown away.”

Wrapped Creations have been involved in showcasing art exhibitions of Ieramagadu, Roebourne artists in Boorloo, Perth.

“We produce colours of our country which is the art exhibition, where we work with the Roebourne artists and take their art to Perth and showcase.”
