PADDLING FOR AUS

A Gold Coast surf lifesaver is almost half way in her 16,000 journey around Australia in an ocean ski.

Speaking in Dampier on Monday, Bonnie Hancock said she had been paddling for three and a half months in her quest to break two world records.

“I’ll be working my way in about 100 km stretches up towards Broome so that will take us around 12 days,” she said.

Ms Hancock said she was heading around the top end and hoped to be back home in the Gold Coast by June.
