NOONGAR WOMEN RESPOND TO NORTHBRIDGE ASSAULT

Aboriginal social media users have expressed a lot of distress after reports of a former AFL footballer bashing women he did not know at Northbridge on the weekend.

Events such as these prompted Ballardong Noongar woman Lorraine Pryor to start the women’s group Voice of Hope to tackle domestic violence in Perth.

Ms Pryor said they intended to connect with women inside and outside prison to help get their lives back on track by connecting them with culture.
