THREE HALLS CREEK RESIDENTS MISSING

Northern Territory police say three people from the Kimberley who have been missing for days might have been spotted in Tennant Creek, according to the ABC.

SUICIDE ATTEMPTS AND STAFF SHORTAGES AT BANKSIA HILL

In the first half of 2022 there were 20 suicide attempts at Banksia Hill Detention Centre, WA’s only juvenile prison, reports the West Australian.

The West also revealed concerns about under-staffing at Banksia Hill. So far this year, more than 4000 shifts have gone unfilled. On June 30, Banksia Hill was operating short of 23 full-time-equivalent staff.

BOORLOO BIDEE MIA HOMELESSNESS FACILITY REACHES ONE-YEAR MILESTONE

The State Government’s Boorloo Bidee Mia homelessness facility in Perth has been operating for a year.

According to the State Government, the service is currently assisting 66 residents, with more than 70 per cent identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
