SEVERE TROPICAL CYCLONE ISLA EXPECTED TO REACH CATEGORY 4 TODAY

Off the Kimberley coast, Severe Tropical Cyclone Ilsa is intensifying and is expected to reach a category 4 system before it crosses the coast between Bidyadanga and Port Hedland later today or early tomorrow.

INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY ON THE COAST PREPARES FOR CYCLONE

Yesterday, DFES held a community meeting in Bidyadanga, a remote Aboriginal community on the coast between Port Hedland and Broome, to discuss cyclone preparations as Ilsa approaches.
