YOUTH CHARGED FOR CAUSING HEAD INJURY 

The perpetrator who allegedly threw a rock that struck the head of a 12-year-old boy has been charged. 

HEAT WAVE TODAY 

An extreme heat wave is forecasted for the Kimberley, Pilbara and North interior today and maximum temperature are set to rise to the mid-40s. 

STATE SUES FORMER BANKSIA HILL DETAINEES 

Two former Banksia Hill detainees are being sued by the WA state government for an estimated three hundred and fifty thousand dollars for allegedly causing damage to the venue in 2017. 

The Levitt Robinson Solicitors who won the historic thirty million payouts when a federal court found police were racist in their response to Cameron Mulrunji Doomadgee’s death is representing former and current Bankia Hill detainees. 

GRANDMOTHERS FOR REFUGEES 

In Boorloo, Perth, Fremantle will see a special celebration at Bathers Beach tomorrow afternoon, to mark 75 years since the Declaration of International Human Rights.

Fremantle Grandmothers for Refugees will join at the beach with the Fremantle Refugee Rights Action Network and Fremantle Amnesty International to highlight the plight of refugees and asylum seekers in Australia.

SHARK TEETH FOUND NEAR COCOS ISLAND 

Australian Scientists have made some exciting finds during recent voyages, including collecting a specimen of a new species of shark and discovering a shark graveyard in the deep ocean near Cocos Keeling Island. 

The graveyard even contained the fossilised teeth of the ancient ancestor of the megalodon shark.
