MURDOCH UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP TEAM VOTES TO SUPPORT VOICE TO PARLIAMENT

On Monday, the 14-member leadership team at a University in Perth voted unanimously to support an Indigenous Voice to Parliament and all aspects of the Uluru Statement from the Heart. 

Murdoch University Pro-Vice Chancellor Chanelle Van Den Berg said the move was historic. 

“I feel like it’s a really important moment in time for us and a turning point in history,” she said.

“One of our core strategic themes is First Nations [engagement], and our goal is … to become the preferred choice for First Nations for students.”
