MCGOWAN PRESENTED WITH OPEN LETTER OF DISAPPOINTMENT FROM TRADITIONAL OWNERS
Premier Mark McGowan and Vaccine Commander Chris Dawson were in Karratha and Hedland on Friday to speak with First Nations about their plans for a vaccine surge in the Pilbara. The program is called Keeping Culture Safe and Strong.
While the Premier was in Port Hedland, Kariyarra Traditional Owners and YMAC representatives, Raylene Button and Donny Wilson hand-delivered a letter describing their dissappointment concerning the government choosing to indtroduce the controversial Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Bill 2021 into Parliament this week even though First Nations have been protesting to see the final draft and have a say.
