MARRA WORRA WORRA TRASHED

Fitzroy Crossing Police are looking for the rinleaders of a group of about 15 children who trashed the office of Marra Worra Worra Aboriginal Corporation almost two weeks ago.

Senior Sergeant Larry Miller, who was on leave at the time, said they had already apprehended quite a few of the children involved.

”What’s disappointing is that a number of the kids that were in there are kids that have no criminal record at all,” he said. “And they’ve been roped into this by some of the older kids who have criminal records.”

Senior Sergeant Miller said they were confident they knew who those older children were.

“It’s just a matter of locking them down and getting them in here and getting their parents to front up with them and having them dealt with by the court,” he said.

Marra Worra Worra is the Fitzroy Valley’s Aboriginal support agency.
