MAN TARGETS CARNARVON DOGS

An investigation has been launched after a man was spotted tasing dogs in Carnarvon.

Resident Janice Baird and her husband spotted an older man in a car using a device resembling a laser gun on her dogs in their yard around 10am on Tuesday.

The man claimed he was testing a “dog repellant”, and quickly drove off, but not before Mrs Baird managed to photograph the man’s vehicle’s licence plate.

Mrs Baird told Ngaarda Media she was worried the man was “casing the joint” for a possibly robbery, by testing the device on her dogs and incapacitating them.

Carnarvon Police were called soon after the incident.
