A man has been charged in relation to a ram raid in the Kimberley town of Wyndham in the early hours of Friday morning last week.

The suspect allegedly rammed a liquor store in the town with a vehicle stolen from Kununurra and escaped with $800 worth of alcohol before the vehicle was later stopped in Halls Creek.

Kununurra Police Senior Sergeant Niel Vand Plank said authorities became aware of the suspect’s whereabouts after he used a stolen bank card.

The man will face 11 charges relating to the incident plus a breech of bail.

The man faced court yesterday and will next appear in April.
