Law Ground Under Threat ? Western Exploration Pushing the Boundaries
The Native Title Tribunal has stopped a company from exploring for minerals on an important LAW GROUND in the Pilbara in a judgement last week.
Western Exploration had applied for approval to explore the country around Woodbrook Law Ground.
Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation’s anthropologist said he was not allowed to go to the site because he was not an initiated Ngarluma man.
Native Title Tribunal member Nerida Cooley said she was not satisfied that Western Exploration would not go onto the LAW GROUND while they were exploring.
