Last week, Minister for the Environment and Water Tanya Plibersek announced $720,000 to restore cultural heritage sites in South Australia, including Koonalda Cave.

Koonalda Cave holds significant cultural value to the local Indigenous groups, with the area having been used for mining, art and visited for over 30,000 years.

To find out more, we spoke to archeologist Dr Kerryn Walshe, who has studied the cave and says its art is of immense cultural and historical significance.

Take a listen.
